Rhine-Hunsrück waste disposal in Kirchberg

Since 2006, Rhein-Hunsrück Entsorgung, a municipal company, has been collecting, recycling and disposing of all waste produced by private households and many companies in the Rhein-Hunsrück district.

Since 2010, RHE has also been supplying the school centers in Simmern, Kirchberg and Emmelshausen with environmentally friendly heat generated from tree and shrub waste. In 2012, a 2.3 ha photovoltaic system was installed on the old landfill site of the Kirchberg district waste disposal site, which produces electricity for approx. 350 households. In 2016 further facilities and plants were built.

A functioning guidance and orientation system now had to be implemented on the entire site. Informationstechnik Meng took over the planning, production and installation of the signs, which were made of aluminum and glass. The graphic concept was developed by the Michael Kasper agency for visual communication in Emmelshausen. Illustrations were created that playfully communicate with the viewer and convey a positive image.
